Disinfectant Toilet Bowl Cleaner, Wintergreen, 24 oz Bottle, 2/Pack

I have used Clorox toilet bowl cleaner for a long time. Then the liquid started coming out around the bottom of the twist cap so you couldn't squirt it up under the rim of the toilet. I complained to Clorox but this continued to happen. So I switched to Lysol as I use many of their products. The very first bottle I opened, it did the exact same thing! What the heck is going on? I used to squirt the stuff in the toilet up under the rim so I could really clean the toilet but this is ridiculous.

i normally use this to clean my toilets and like how it works. this time i bought the 2 pack and both bottles are defevtive. they do not squirt from the top, but instead from underneath and then all over my hand. this renders the product worthless!!!!

please fix your bottles!!

I took before and after pictures of my toilet. It took away the worst iron stains ever in my toilet, my boyfriends toilet and his bath tub. Yes I used it on the bathtub. I love this stuff squirt, sit, rinse. No scrubbing. I posted my pics on facebook. I just wish you had a spray on that worked this well.

The top is so poorly designed that it is next to impossible to open. I bought this product a few months ago and it was impossible to open then so I threw it out. I unfortunately thought this was a different product and bought it again. Once again, I cannot get it open. I will throw it out again and hopefully remember to never buy another Lysol product.

This is the one and only product that I can get the toilets sparkling with three sons in this house and hard water it causes for a funky toilet in their bathroom I just squirt it and then clean the rest of the bathroom swish with the brush and its like new again.

love it! our well water leaves mineral stains which this product removes like a dream ~ also use it in my bathtubs for the water stains left there ~ makes it so easy to clean but I do want it to be a safer product!

I bought this because it was on sale at my local grocery store, never tried it before, and was skeptical. I've been trying to remove stains forever using bleach, scrubbing, even a steamer cleaner. This product did in ONE minute what I had been trying to do for 6 months!!! My husband asked me if I bought a new toilet! LOL Thank you for making such a wonderful product!!!

I have four boys in my home, but Lysol Toilet bowl Cleaner does the job cleaning the toilet. It does a great job and I couldn't do without it!

Awesome product! Not only does it do a fantastic job on your toilets, it removes rust on almost any surface. You can't leave it on too long, but around the bath tub, where you've been sitting metal cans, and the rust ring is there......Like magic.. gone in a few minutes! Love this product!!

this is my favorite cleaner! I've tried others and find that this one suits my needs best. The scent is also pleasant to me!

A FRIEND TOLD ME ABOUT IT--I COULDN'T GET IT OPEN BUT MY BOYFRIEND FINALLY DID. IT WORKED BEAUTIFULLY BUT THE NEXT BOTTLE LEAKED ON ME, ON THE TOILET AND ON THE FLOOR. I THREW IT AWAY. HOPEFULLY THE OTHER ONES I BOUGHT WILL BE BETTER. IT IS A GREAT PRODUCT

It is easy to use and is great. I just have confidence in Lysol products. No worries with Lysol.

I used Lysol toilet cleaner for my toilets, and after sitting for 5 minutes, my toilet bowls were blue. It took me 4 days and whole lot of scrubbing, before they were back to normal. I did call their customer service number and they were helpful and very nice to work with. I still use Lysol products, just not the bathroom cleaner.

Purchased a 4 pack of Lysol Toilet Bowl Cleaner. All the bottles leak between the bottom of the blue cap and the container. The product is therefore useless and must be discarded. The box was stamped with lot code B11236-NJ2-0438. Is there a remedy to my problem or a means to obtain reimbursement?

LySol Toilet Bowl Cleaner has the ability to do so many things at one time! Simply squirt it in on the upper inside of the bowl ridge and let it sit for awhile. Immediately, it begins to disinfect, sanitize and clean the bowl. A quick whisk with a bowl cleanser and you have a clean smelling toilet bowl. I consider it to be one of the dirtiest jobs to do while cleaning the house, however, LySol has made it an easy and rewarding job! I don't dread having to clean the toilet bowl anymore because of LySol.

This does such a wonderful job! I love how it kills the germs but has such a great clean smell.

I live in an area with extremely hard water that leaves mineral deposits on everything. I can't even wash my car at home due to the impossible to remove spots. Over the course of 6 years in this home, all of my faucets and shower heads have been replaced at least once, and some twice, because of the build up. I have had an ongoing battle with the calcified toilet rings. I have tried every product on the market (scrubbing bubbles, CLR, soft soap, bleach, etc) , natural cleaners (vinegar, baking soda, lemons, etc) and industrial cleaners from friends with cleaning services. NOTHING has removed the rings or build-up. For the last year, I have resigned myself to spending a couple of hours, one weekend a month, scraping off the rings with a pumice stone.

I came across this product at a local dollar store and picked it up on a whim. I had tried another Lysol product when I first moved in, but it apparently didn't make an impression. This time, this particular product was MAGICAL!!!! I squirted the liquid under the rim, around the entire bowl, put the lid down and forgot about it until the next morning (7 1/2 hours total). When I lifted the lid the BOWL WAS CLEAN!!! Even with the pumice stone there were stubborn spots that refused to come clean. After the Lysol, I didn't scrub, rub, scrape or sweat. I applied it, walked away and awoke to the first completely, 100% clean toilet this house has seen in 6 years. I will never buy another brand again.

I was so very impressed with this toilet bowl cleaner. I had lime buildup in my toilet from the hard water. So I thought "I am gonna try this product." I left this cleaner in the toilet for about 20 minutes and lo and behold! All the lime buildup and everything else came off! Now my toilet looks like a brand new toilet! SO VERY HAPPY! :-D

This might be a good product if I could get it open to use it. I have followed the directions - holding with one hand on flat surface ad nausem and the thing will NOT open.
I really wonder how "child proof" this really is - how many households do not close it after use rather than struggle to open it again.
Needless to say I will NOT be purchasing this again and will give serious consideration to NOT purchasing any of your other products either.

Finally, something that really removes the stubborn ring in my bowls! I only left it on for about 5 minutes at the most, and I really didn't have to scrub. A light brushing, and it dissolved, as if by magic. I have to say the fumes are really strong, so take extra precautions with that, but otherwise, an excellent product that does what is claimed!

I literally just made an account just to write a review!! My toilets had years of build up (YEARS PEOPLE) and no products did any justice.. And i just bought this for CHEAP.... after letting it soak and scrubbing it then flushing it... ALL stains disapeared.. Looks brand new!. I was deffinetley shocked and thrilled. Absolute best product. No doubt.

I love this product. My toilet bowl accumulates mold very quickly but this product not only takes out the mold but leaves a sparkling clean shine. Absolutely love it.

The is the only product I will use to clean my toilet. If you have kids that are like mine then you will want this product to clean with.

Like many of the reviews I have read thus far... I also have hard water, 3 teenage boys, 2 grown men. and they all use the same restroom... as I am the lone female in my home I "Do Not" enter their territory... but the fact that they are male... and knowing the situation with my toilet... ie: using a pumice stone, to no avail... I dared to venture into no womans land... and lord help me but those "boys" are animals... have they even tried to clean... but I had faith in my miracle product... and an hour after I applied the product I went in prepared to do battle... and no battle was necessary... and after 12 years and all that abuse... their toilet looks like it did when we built the house back in 2001... I will never use any other toilet bowl cleaner except for Lysol...

Don't care if the product works or not, if you can't get the bottle open to use it, then it can not work!!! And after you do manage to get the bottle open and then think you have closed it and wiped off any excess from around the cap, you go back later and find the cleaner running down the side of the bottle onto your shelf!! I will never buy this product again unless you fix your bottle problems!!!

The products cleans very well, however the bottle leaks from the cap after using. It drips down the side of the bottle and leaves blue stains on the counter top.
I can't believe that you cannot solve this problem!

We have hard water and stains have built up in the toilets. I've tried many products -- Comet (powder and gel), SOS pads, The Works, CLR, etc. Nothing worked.

This product removed those stains just by soaking, and a very light scrub with the toilet brush.

I was amazed. I was considering buying new toilets -- that's how bad it was.

I feel like this is a toothpaste for my toilet. Not only it's clean and sparkling, but it has a slight mint smell in my opinion. It's not overwhelming and gets the job done.

I love this product! We have hard water and iron and sulphur which causes the toilet to get very nasty very quickly. And with my bad back I can't be on the floor trying to scrub the toilet clean. With this I just apply it, walk away, a little while later come back, and with a quick scrub it's done and sparkling. Just wish you had a tablet I could put in the tank so it keeps it clean all the time.

this product consistently has work and lived up to expectation. the liquid clings to the side and after a couple runs with the toilet brush, it foams up. for me there is nothing more beautiful to me than a pearly white toilet bowl that smells like bleach

I was really excited to use this produc to the first time,then I was really disappointed.I had issues having any liquid come out of the container I had to loose the openin my self in order for any to come out ,then the nosel would get messy instead of he toilet,plus I'd have to wait a good deal of time for the liquid to actually get a good coat on the toilet .yes the product has a refreshing smell to it but all in all that was the only positive thing out of purchasing this product ,never agian .

After using, the bottle continues to leak or siphon out even after closing the lid. Is there a way to prevent this? There are a number of posts about this problem on various internet sites. I do not see that anyone has indicated how to avoid this issue. A relative has had the same problem. Is there something I should do to avoid this?? Thanks

WE HAVE WELL WATER, AND I LOVE THIS PRODUCT!! HOWEVER, I HAVE ARTHRITIS IN MY HANDS AND CANNOT OPEN THE BOTTLE WHEN NEW...HAVE TO FIND SOMEONE TO OPEN IT FOR ME. POOR BOTTLE DESIGN.

I've used Lysol Toilet Bowl Cleaner for about a year and despite carefully following the on-label instructions, I have found the bottle cap extremely hard to open; Suggest you rename it to "ultra-adult resistant" cap, tools like pliers, many times required. The product is just fine but if one cannot remove the top to apply it, the product is useless.

I am not able to open this bottle. Don't know if I should squeeze the "ridged" part of the cap or the "smooth" side. I remember years ago I had the same problem with this cleaner and switched to the Clorox one, which I can open. Right now I have 4 quarts of Lysol and can't open it....so anoying!

I've used this product for a while and like it. But this last time I got a multi-pack and the lid leaks and makes a terrible mess. I'm ready to throw the bottle out even though I haven't used it all but I'm worried the others will leak as well. I have pictures of the lot number and you can see the bottle leaking.

We have been using Lysol Toilet Bowl Cleaner for years, but always someone opened the bottle for me. Today, despite numerous attempts to squeeze the cap and twist, I cannot open the bottle. It came in a muti-pack from Costco, and I can't open the other bottles either. Maybe I don't have the necessary body strength. In any case, the product is useless to me if I can't use it.

I have used nearly all types of cleaners to clean all the toilets in our home. While many products do the job, the Lysol Toilet Bowl Cleaner has always done the greatest job. We recently hired a house cleaner who comes biweekly and have specified this product to be used inside all the toilet bowls in our home since it is the only product we can ensure that will clean the best. I would also like to mention that the cap to this bottle can be a pain if you have not had successful experience in opening it correctly many times. Tightly pinch the rigid part of the cap with your thumb and index finger and turn cap in counterclockwise rotation. Do not twist cap off completely or you may damage the bottle. Since not many people can follow directions carefully, maybe Lysol can make a small flip cap while keeping the gooseneck bottle design.

I like this product and use it weekly but sometimes the nozzle won't allow toilet Bowl Cleaner to dispense, A real pain after this happens.

I have used Lysol products for years. Repurchased the toilet bowl cleaner yesterday, apparently this bottle is now adult proof. Ridiculous! I am neither disabled nor elderly and believe I know how to use toilet cleaner appropriately. I am a very busy person and do not have the time or inclination to be frustrated by such a ridiculous design. I will not be purchasing Lysol toilet cleaner again! You have lost a 30 plus year customer

I am having the same problem that many others are having! It is extremely difficult to open the bottle and I find it leaks and I have a mess to deal with. It seems all companies are using this terrible method so there probably won't be a solution - very frustrated!!

Extremely hard to open. Though it was open and it sprayed out everywhere from the cap and not the nozzle spout. All over my hands and floor and toilet.

it's a terrible experience. i used all ways to open it but failed. my husband helped me, and gave up too. i have looking for the video from Youtube but find nothing. I don't know why the company dont want to do anything to resolve the problem since so many cunsomers confused about it

My complaint is about the cap. After you twist the blue cap closed, it continues to leak out the bottom. Terrible design. Every time I use it to clean my three toilets, I have to continue to mop up the liquid coming from under the cap. It does work well at cleaning, but I will not buy this product again or any of your other products that use this type of cap.

I don't understand all the problems reported about the cap. I haven't had any problems at all. Anyway way love the way it cleans and the fresh scent that it has. I use your cleaning products in my bathroom and kitchen

I've used this product twice and it has cleaned very well to the point that the toilet looks clean for a while after I've used the product. Yesterday my boyfriend cleaned to toilet and now both the top of the seat and the underside of the lid are stained with blue streaks. It doesn't wash off. I am afraid that I will have to buy a new seat and lid for my toilet! I bought this product within the past year and have not had problems with the cap.

A while ago I had a bottle with a cap that leaked after it was closed. I've used the product for years and just chalked that one up to experience, but today I opened another bottle and it did the same thing. I think that this cap is easier to open than past versions were, but I would rather struggle to open the bottle than have it ooze blue stuff all over me and my floor.

I saw this on sale at our local warehouse club and I wanted to try it. During my Saturday morning clean house activity, I open the cap and a very little trickled out of the cap. I thought there was something wrong with the cap. There was 3 bottles in the pack so I opened another bottle with the same results. Then, I realize, with the angled neck design, there must be a way to open the cap to allow more flow. I squeezed the cap and turned and it flowed more. Great. I coated the toilet bowl and proceeded to the 2 other bathrooms. When I returned, I scrubbed and flushed. I noticed then I had missed a spot which I realized if I can see the spot I missed, this cleaner did and excellent job. I love it and will not go back to PineSol. Thank you.

Very disappointed with this bottle of cleaner! After I was finished cleaning, I set the cleaner bottle on my counter top. Later that night I went to put it away, and found the lid had leaked all over my white granite and stained it. So now my brand new white granite, has a blue toilet cleaner shaped stain on it. We have tried everything to remove it and now it needs to be replaced. As a result this was the most expensive cleaner I have ever bought.i looked online and found the leaky lid is a common problem. Hopefully other people see this so they don't wreck their counters, floors, cabinets ect.

This problem is ongoing for the past year at least. It is very problematic. It keeps on oozing out long after I thought it stopped. I love the product but cannot keep constant vigilance to be sure the product does not keep on seeping out under the base of the cap. It happened AGAIN today and I came to this site to see if I was the only with the problem or if I was doing something wrong. Apparently not.I would give the product itself 5 stars but this leaking cap has got to be fixed.

Wow! First, I NEVER write reviews. I do however read them before purchasing items. I needed more toilet bowl gel cleaner, I usually do not buy the Lysol power gel cleaner. I was not at the store I usually shop at, so this was the only option I had to choose from at the time. I am so happy I purchased it! First, let me preface this with, I love cleaning. A lot. I'm a germaphobe so for me, a clean bathroom is heavenly. Unfortunately, my sons never flush their toilet, located upstairs by their bedrooms. I do every few days, but I was on strike as I was mad they were being lazy and not cleaning up after themselves. As time went on, the stains became grosser and I was unable to remove them, even with bleach, or comet. Then came the smell. It never went away. I scrubbed, soaked, you name it. I told my husband to buy a new toilet, as I had given up. So, to my surprise... I put this Lysol power gel into the toilet early this very morning, and this evening after I flushed it... The stains were about 85% gone! With the smell better by about 80%! It's a Christmas Miracle!!! I seriously cannot get over this. I made my husband come upstairs to see, he was impressed as well. Thank you, Lysol! This is incredible. You have saved the gross toilet, and turned it into something I'm no longer ashamed of. Yay!

After reading so many great reviews online, I went out to buy this. Unfortunately, my bottle cap was defective. I had read the instructions carefully on how to open it and it did not work. I then asked family and friends to help me because perhaps I was doing it wrong, but to no avail. We could not get the top to twist enough to get the product to flow out. Very unfortunate. Perhaps it truly is a great product like many other Lysol products, but this was not my experience.

After buying and using this outstanding cleaning product for the first time, I went out the very next day to purchase another bottle or two just to be sure that I had plenty (no I don't clean for a living, but I would give it the best recommendation to someone that does!).  I purchased another bottle that appeared to have the same lettering on it, but got it home and it was a white liquid; with none of the cleaning properties as this one.
I've been looking everywhere I go to find the blue liquid, and was beginning to think my bottle was the last of an ERA! However, after reading the review below from SAQMBE, I know that she had the blue liquid too! I'm going to place an order today to be sure that this is the one! Wish me luck. If it turns out not to be the blue gel with a great clean fragrance, I will be soooo, dissapointed. Lysol has a winner with this one!

We have very hard water and this product did a great job cleaning our badly stain toilets. Our guest bath doesn't get much use but this product cleans it great. The last time I used it, it left a blue ring in my toilet and I cant get it out.

I noticed brown stains in all of my toilets a while back and tried all sorts of cleaners that did absolutely nothing.  Then I found Lysol toilet bowl cleaner with Lime & Rust Remover.  I am so amazed at the difference just one cleaning has made!  I just wanted to thank you for making this superior product.  I wouldn't buy it for the smell; too minty.  But you just can't beat how great it works.  Thanks!

The bottles are really hard to open and now they are swelling up and leaking all over my cabinets!! I bought a case and have 1 bottle in 4 bathroom cabinets now It has ruined the wood in 2 of my cabinets!!

The bottles are so hard to open.  Definitely not intended for arthritic hands.  And after closing the bottle, the product continues to leak out of the bottle.  This was not just one defective bottle.  It's happened many times.  The bottles need to be fixed!!!

I am writing this because when I could not figure out the cap I looked online here and could not find the answer. I am also happy that Lysol is so diligent about their safety features.

The trick is this:
The cap moves a small distance with a little force but then hits against a tab underneath. You then must squeeze the cap in a place away from this obstruction to change the cap from being round to oval. This expands the cap at the critical point and allows the cap restriction to pass over the tab to the open position for use. When you are finished, remember to replace the cap to its child-proof position.

I bought this after trying every trick I know to remove stains from my toilet.  I thought I was going to have to buy a new bowl but this product not only cleaned my toilet, it made it like new!  This is the only product I will use.

Me and a few of our friends have noticed that this isn't working on the rust in the toilet anymore. Has the formula changed? Very sad day.

I had tried other toilet cleaners, and thought my toilet was permanently stained. Then tried the power toilet cleaner, left product in for over 12 hours, no more stains! So happy!

For the past year, I had some unsightly stains in the bottom of my toilet.  I had tried your other toilet bowl cleaners plus all of the Clorox toilet bowl cleaners to remove the stains. I also tried home remedies such as bleach, vinegar, baking soda, abrasive cleansers, and anything else I could think of to try.   I could not empty the bowl to scrub the bottom because I am disabled and could not reach the shut off valve.  I finally came across Lysol Power.  I squirted an ample amount in the bowl with the water and let it set.  I then used my brush to scrub it.  I was delighted to see that Lysol Power had removed the stains- finally.  I thought I was going to have to replace the toilet.  Thank you for this great product.

Your product is great, however, leakage for the cap following use has not destroyed the cabinet shelf surfact in two of our cabinets. Please tell us what to do to prevent the leakage.

Purchase toilet bowl cleaner from Cosco, very disappointed on the new cap design the very hard to open and leak the side of the container make terrible mess .

I use this product on a weekly basis when cleaning my toilet bowl.  While I do not notice a scent or odor from this product, I do see the results - results that tell me my toilet bowl is clean!

I see I'm not the only one with this complaint.  Bottle kept leaking from the cap sides after use.  Cleaned it off and returned to cupboard thinking it was done,  only to find later that it had continued to leak even after that.  Cupboard flooring now damaged.

Terrible design flaw.

From now on, this will be the only product I will use to clean the toilet bowl. It took next to nothing for it to do its job, I was impressed to say the least. I don't write reviews on products but this one I just had to write one because of how happy I am with this first time purchase of this product. Will definitely be buying more.

Would be nice if the cap actually opened.. spent 10 minutes trying to figure it out. Not designed particularly well.

I place the bowl cleaner in the bathroom sink and the cap leak and the cleaner went on too the copper sink and lifted the color off the sink big spots all over the sink

This product leaks after use and has destroyed my bathroom cupboards.  What can I do to get the stains off the cupboard floor.  Poor design of cap

The last bottle I bought, I had to throw away because it was leading at the seam. Now a brand new bottle I opened today will only come out a drop at a time when fully opened and squeezing with firm pressure. Of course I don't want to squeeze too hard for fear of another leaking seam! Very frustrated:(
