A UPS is a vital component in my recording studio. There's nothing worse than being in the middle of a magic take to suddenly loose power and end up with a ruined track. I've tried a whole bunch of different brands and models over the years. About 4 years ago, I installed 2 new UPS systems from a leading manufacturer. Strangely, the computers (one Mac and one PC) would occasionally set off the 'power failure' warning when no power loss occurred. It became irritating, so I went and purchased 2 of the Tripp Lite SMART1000LCD to replace them. They were both instantly more reliable and have never given us erroneous 'power failure' warnings. There have been a few power outages, but thanks to the Tripp Lites, we've never lost a take. Since then, I've installed Tripp Lites in all of our editing suites and offices. They've all been fantastically reliable. In fact, the 4 year old models still perform properly in the event of an outage. That's a real testament to their rock-solid capabilities. If you want a 1000VA UPS that you can install, forget about, and depend on, you'll love the SMART1000LCD.

The Smart1000LCD is nice product. Originally purchased it in 2005, the battery has since worn out but still functions nicely as a surge protector.

this is a excellent emergency power suppy
i use this to power my dvr security system and infra red cameras as i have a drunken neighbor who was vandalizing my property. he has now gone. he actually told me when the thunderstorms knock the power out he knows my cameras dont work. so i bought a tripp-lite. and low and behold a thunderstorm came by and he came over and got charged with disorderly conduct. he is now gone. and this is a good product. now i watch the owls at night. no more nasty neighbor. thanks tripp-lite. i also have a older omni 450 lan. to back up my pc. carl

I am very pleased with this product. I have common short term electrical outages and this equipment has helped protect my home theater system.
The only recommendation I have for the future is to provide options for deactivating the alarm. You can turn it off, but I would like it if I can just configure it so that it doesn't activate on the first place.
Otherwise, a great product.

After a power outage took out our gaming system, we did extensive research and ended up buying two of these to protect our plasma tv (along with everything that we use with it) and our computer system. Now I have piece of mind when the power goes out. THANK YOU!

Excellent Value & Support
Have had unit installed for about 18 Months. It has performed seamlessly during multiple power outs. Had a problem with the Power Console not displaying data. Called Tech Support, got promptly to a software specialist ("Kyle") who very efficiently and courteously talked me through reset. Excellent customer service and excellent product.

Great for keeping a small network up and running
I use this UPS for a small company LAN, consisting of a cable modem, a security firewall, and a 8 port, 4 VLAN switch running gigabit ethernet.

I use my computer for college, which is done 100% online, and this UPS has saved countless hours for me by keeping my computer running during brown outs, surges and black outs. Very pleased.

Died as soon as the warranty expired
It was cheap and worked as advertised.
Typically when I buy a UPS, I expect to use it for years past the warranty expiration. Even a 5-year-old UPS is usually good for brownout protection. This one died less than 3 months after the warranty expired. It won't even power on anymore.
From now on, I'm spending the extra $50 on their competitor that will last twice as long.

All features and extras needed for a Home Theater
This product has saved my Home Theater equipment on at least two occasions. We had severe thunder storms that took out a TV power supply and a computer (This equipment was not protected by the Tripp-Lite Smart1000LCD Digital UPS). I will however install two more to protect all TV's and computer equipment. The foot print is very miminal but the protection is humungus.

This product has worked flawlessly
We have been using the SMART1000LCD on a small server for almost two years now. On the occasion that the power goes out, the UPS immediately kicked in and we didn't have any downtime. If the power continued to be out, it was great to have the ability to take the computer through a 'graceful' shut down. I would highly recommend this product and also really like the LCD feature that constantly shows the voltage being supplied to the unit. That's also a great feature! We love this little UPS!

Lots of power in a small package
We live in a neighbourhood that has constant power interruptions and it's a pain having the PVR lose power during a recording, so I've been looking for a UPS that would at least allow the PVR to stay on.
So, I came across this model in Costco and decided for the price, that I would give it a try.
Best decision. I've had two power outages since getting it (short durations, 5 mins each) and the PVR was able to continue recording the shows and I was able to continue watching the shows after the power came back on.
Overall, I'm happy with this product.

I brought 2 of these UPS. One for my music equipment (VCR, LCD TV, Reciever, Ect.) and the other for my desktop computer. They have been working excellent and I rely on them since I get a lot of power outages in my area. Features likes the alams y voltage display are for me the best features.

Smart1000LCD Is Perfect for Computers & A/V
I've used Tripp-Lite for years, from some of their floor blocks to battery backup units like this one. It is easy to use, display is bright enough without lighting up the room at night, and I've had it catch more than a few brown-outs. With the power grid getting more 'iffy' by the year, you really need to have something like this to protect your equipment. Price of this unit is just right for what you get. Company has always been cool to work with.

Reliable, Durable. A good value.
I run a home business network located in the mountains of Puerto Rico including, among other computers, two Apple multi-core Mac Pros. We have regular power outages and lightning strikes nearby, but I cannot afford to lose work in progress. I tried several other UPSs including earlier Tripp models and have had multiple failures over time. When I installed the new network, I bought two of these units, one for each Apple. They have worked perfectly. For three years+, every feature has been tested repeatedly and worked, including the automatic shutdown, over-voltage and overload protection.
I particularly like the ability to change the display orientation and intensity. That allows me flexibility in placement of the unit.
What more can I say. This is the first and only UPS I've tried that hasn't failed. Thank you Tripp! I look forward to more years of service.

Tripp Lite SMART1000LCD saved me over 3000 dollars. I have it connected to a 65" flat screen, Blue Ray home theater, Cable DVR, VCR/DVD Player and a Wireless Broadband Adapter.
Late one evening we had lightning strike the transformer on a poll in back of our house. Of course everything went dark but the DVR and TV we were watching at the time stayed on.
The alarm on the Tripp Lite UPS was tripped letting me know it was on DC power. I turned off my equipment, went the UPS turned it off and unplugged it from the wall.
When I got up the next morning I plugged it back in the wall outlet turned on the ups and checked out my equipment. To my surprise everything worked just fine.
Setup is easy, plug it in a wall outlet to fully charge. Connect your equipment to it. Run your Network (RJ45) and Coax Cable through it as I did and your done. It also has a RJ11 ports if you are using hard line phones.
The investment I made by purchasing this product more then payed for itself several times over. If you want to protect your valuable electronics, you need to get one of these.

Easy to set-up and use. has all the features that I was looking for and is pretty much maintenance free. Has saved my computer twice now, and I would not use anything else.

Great value and quality design
I own a large projection HDTV was the main consideration for getting a UPS battery backup. I researched the market quite a bit and kept coming across this Tripp-Lite Smart1000LCD to meet my needs. It is thoughtfully designed and performs well. Very satisfied so far.

Potentially a good product
Just got my unit plugged in today, will have to see how things work, the positive reviews I've read seem to be encouraging. I'm building a new computer, from the ground up, I completely fabricated a case to house new computer components, as yet unpurchased, I decided to get a new UPS to ensure protection for the expensive board, cpu, vidio card etc. I figure the $116.99 price of a good quality ups will be worth the cost in peace of mind. Will transfer my P4 system to the new UPS and get the new UPS get broken in before I put out a K in $.

Product was very easy to install and get running.
I have used this product for years. Recently when moving my office furiture around my backup got broken and I made sure to order the exact brand for replacement. It has been a great product for me!

This was my first Tripplite product. I've used APC for years but have grown frustrated with the short battery life and expensive replacements. Although I have not owned my system very long, I do like the size of the product and placement of the plugs.
As my other ones go bad, I will be looking at Tripplite for their replacements.

5 Stars with better Mac support
My only beef with this unit is that there is no Mac-compatible PowerAlert Local app. There are some features built-in to Mountain Lion OS X 10.8.2, but this UPS in only controlled in a very generic way. As far as the UPS itself, five stars, very high quality and reliable.

This is a well polished product! From the moment I opened the package I was impressed. It was well packaged like they care about their product. The design is sleek and no nonsense. The integration with the poweralert local software is seemless. The LCD screen is slick and visually appealing along with being useful. I like the brightness control on the screen too. The buttons also make sense for someone that is not an electrician. There are two buttons and clearly labeled in plain terms. One marked power and the other a speaker with a line through it. The plugs in the back are well laid out and clearly labeled as well. Thank you for making it easy TrippLite!

The best UPS and long lasting
We've had our's for nearly 5 years of continuous service in an area that experiences frequent power outages in the winter. No problems with it and it just works. We're still on the original battery. The fron USB charger port is very handy. However, it appears the newer models have omitted it.

This products is sturdy, reliable, lasts long, easy to use.
Very happy with this product, to the point that all 35 of our computers have their own including the monitors and printers plugged in. When I had an issue I called customer service thinking the product warranty had expired and they sent me out a replacement battery with 2 days it arrive! Excellent customer service and will continue to buy their products, as we have not had any issues with any of them.

3rd tripplite , had for over a year to protect my 37" olevia, att uverse box, onkyo home theater av and Samsung bluray dvd player. had for over 1-1/2 year.
work well thru two power outages.
hope it last as long as my last tripplite did. used to protect ham radio kenwood transceiver. it lasted for more than 5 years. Great American company warranty. Baton Rouge, La.

When I got an email saying, "You have a Tripp-Lite 1000LCD. Tell us what you think." I said to myself, oh that's right, I do have one. What do I think about it?
That's the thing. I don't think about it. Day after day, month after month; brownouts, blackouts, line conditioning. It just works.
I don't think about it. I don't worry about it.
That's what I paid for. That's what it does. I can't think of a higher recommendation.

I Have owned a number of battery backups for my computers starting in 1982 with my Apple II. My TrippLite Smart1000LCD is by far the best battery backup I have ever owned. It simply sits beside my computer desk and works. I have had my power go out quite a bit in the last year due to nearby construction work. My TrippLite has responded on each occassion with nary a blip. The only thing I can about the device is simply, it works as advertised, it is the best you can buy

Great Protection at a reasonable price
I have two of these units, one for my computer and one for my home entertainment equipment. They have protected my electronics admirably and allowed me to finish what I was doing on my computer and shutdown in an orderly fashion when hit with power outages. They actually did the job!
The software that came with the unit fails often, never really allowing me to keep a continuous log of the power. I have contacted the manufacturer about it and they had me reload the software several times. It works for a little while then fails.
In a perfect world the unit would have more outlets on the back to allow for more peripherals to be protected.
All in all the unit performs admirably.

This is a great UPS. It fully supports my 32" LCD panel, plus attached components. Small outages are transparent, and longer ones enable clean shutdown due to the runtime of this unit.

I was fortunate enough to receive a Smart 1000LCD for my office PC. Over the past 4 years I have had 3 other brands that failed within the first 6 months. This unit is the apex of ups'. My site loses power intermittently at least twice a week, and the Smart LCD has not allowed one bit of data to be lost. Thank you for your fine product.

I purchased this awhile ago and this battery backup has helped a few times. We don't loose power often where we live, but when we do it is usually only for a few minutes. I have our computer and our AT&T UVerse box on it and it has worked exactly as expected. I would recommend this item to others. Price is good, quality is good.

NEVER HAVE HAD ANY PROBLEMS WITH THIS PRODUCT AND WE HAVE OVER 30 OF THEM IN USE AT OUR JOB SIGHT HERE IN PA ALONE. GREAT PRODUCT AND WOULD RECOMMEND TO ANYONE. THIS IS THE ONLY TYPE OF UPS BATTERY BACKUP THAT WE USE.

The product has worked flawlessly
I have now had my unit for almost 2 years and we have encountered about a dozen power issues. although each of these were only seconds in length, my desktop, monitors and other devices attached remained on and fully function without a hitch. The only downside is that the cord is only 6 feet long and i have several other areas in my office that i would like to put this unit into production but the outlets are more like 20 feet away and extension cords are not allowed.

Worked during outage and then failed!
The Smart LCD 1000VA worked great until we finally had a power outage. The power went out and the UPS worked fine. However, after the power came back on the unit failed. I tried another battery but the actual unit must have taken a hit. I guess it did what is supposed to but I don't think it should have failed after 1 simple power outage.

Now CAUSES power failures, but still prevents others.
I've had this unit for a bit under 3 years and it's been doing fine during that time. Recently, however, it's been causing power failures.
It looks like it's doing a self-test, which I've seen/heard it do many times before. Maybe once every 48 hours or so, I'd hear it beep & the transformer kick-in and voltage remained un-interrupted. But this past week when doing this same thing, power actually went off for the attached PC (a relatively low-power desktop PC). There was no power failure or brown-out at the time... all other nearby devices not connected to the UPS continued to operate normally.. not even a flicker.
I had another one of their OmniPlus 1000va backup units and it died... the LCD won't come on nor will it pass any sort of power, so I think it was killed by a power surge. (that no other surge protectors in my home were affected by).
Pretty certain this will be my last Tripp Lite product.

This smart UPS has solved me a lot. In a area where I live the electricity goes out 4 to 5 times in a month without no reason. This UPS protects my main PC desktop, external hard drives and LAN router. Cant survive without it. As a matter of fact I owe 2 of them. The other UPS is on my stereo and LCD TV.

Has a lot of nice features, including the LCD display, for the price point. I bought two one exclusively for my PC's tower and the other to power modem, router, printer and all other accessories. 2 units provide me with a total of 2kva with a relatively small footprint. Pleased with the performance so far.

It's never a good time to lose power. You can expect problems during a storm but it is the unexpected downing of a local power pole that totally catches you off guard and in the middle of an important project on our computer. A UPS gives you that time to save your work and shutdown your hardware. The other critical component is protecting your equipment from a surge that can fry your hard drive, which is more costly in time to repair than the cost of the device. The Smart1000 quietly does it's job behind the scene.

I work from home so it's imperative that my computer is running even in the worst of weather. The TRIPPLITE SMART1000LCD gives me complete confidence that none of my work will be lost!

The SMART1000LCD UPS is better than all other brands.
It performs exactly as specified EXCEPT:
Even though I have my Windows 8.1 Pro PC Desktop BIOS set to read all connected USB devices on boot up, is also set to Legacy, the "Power Panel Personal Edition" icon in in my Windows tray, and the included cable is connected to an active USB 2.0 port, every time I boot my PC and later look to "self test", the "icon" is "grayed out". I have to unplug the cable from my PC and plug it back in to do a self test. It works until the next time I shut down my PC and boot it later.

I bought my first unit in 2006. It finally died last month. 9 years is all you could ask for such a product. It has reliably handled several power outages. That's why I buy Tripp Lite. I have T-L protection with smaller units on all my electronics.

I now have 3 Tripp-Lite Uninterruptible Power Supplys. The latest being a SMART1000LCD SmartPro LCD 120V, 1000VA/500W. For this latest unit (which was to replace another brand's unit,I researched several other brands and selected this one based on reviews, my prior experence with the other 2 units, the size, and its ability to be upright or on its side.
I bought this unit about 5 weeks ago and it has already performed reliably through a 2-hr power outage, and several 1-2 second glitches (as has the others).
The downside is that the Tripp-Lite website is/was not so good and I am hoping they have improved it.

Smartpro saves month end close for clinics!
I purchased this Smartpro LCD for our home office. My wife works from home supporting Oncology clinics across the US and has to have reliable power to do month end close each month as well as everyday. One day last month the month end was running and her laptop battery was dieing so she plugged in in than we lost power well luckily the Smartpro was charged up and allowed her to finish the process and not miss a beat and no one was aware that a potential disaster was avoided thanks to the Smart pro unit. I would purchase Trpp-Lite products again and again. I have always trusted them and this proves it.

I run all of my audio/video equipment through this UPS. It does an excellent job of protecting all of my equipment. This is my 2nd unit that I have purchased. The first one lasted for 7 years which is pretty good, I think. Hopefully, I will get another 7 years out of this one. I would definitely recommend this product if you want total protection for your audio/video equipment.

Bought this UPS for my computer setup and it is by far the best one I've ever owned. Nice compact design but also has all the functionality you need. Plugs are spaced out well to accommodate variety of device sizes.

I use this on my Mac Pro, and I have used this model (and it's predecessors) for a long time. I love the information provided on the display, which can hlep you figure out what is really going on. I have at least 5 UPS in the house (TiVos and the network) and this one has never let me down.

Working fine so far. But left a faint smoke smell in the room for a while. First one I bought had no smell and still working after replacing the battery. So not sure if something burned or just related to plastic curing on the new unit.

I am using this UPS to back up my home Network Attached Storage (NAS) device, a QNAP TVS-471. What I needed, in addition to reliable power backup, was the USB communication feature to alert the NAS to a power failure. The NAS then can begin an orderly shutdown while power is still available from the Tripp-Lite UPS. This works well. The NAS recognizes the UPS and even estimates the back up time available.

Reliable, affordable and secure
I have purchased over 7 UPS systems from Tripp Lite and I know they work as I live in an area with many brownouts and blackouts. TrippLite is not only affordable, it does the job of protecting all my equipment--TV, sound system, two computers, elliptical machine and modems.
I only wish the battery life was longer.

I would buy this product again and again.
Our non-profit organization has used these UPS (Uninterrupted Power Supplies) made by Tripplite to protect our office computers and have been very happy with the results. They can not only provide emergency battery power for about 50 miniutes, they can safely shut down Windows, if it's battery goes critically, low, in the event of a power outage.

Three stars only because I haven't had enough time with this UPS to give it a final evaluation. I am trying this Tripp Lite for the first time. I have experience with A P C and Cyber Power with both good and bad experience with both. I am hoping the Tripp Lite will be a winner but only until there is a power event I can not say how good this one is.

This is my second unit purchase
I love this unit. This is my second one. The first has been running for a year and still seems to have full charge capacity. It runs 2 isp modems, an 8 port switch, a Vera automation unit and a 5ghz access point. All i need to keep internet running during power outage. The second unit i purchased is to keep my laptop/Home server running, it provides about 130 mins run time.
Going for a third to power a camera during power loss.

Service technician provides excellent service!
My Triplite product failed due to battery being dead. When I contacted the service area, I was helped determine the cause my unit did not perform and the battery was in warranty so a new one was quickly shipped to me! I was very pleased and now fully protected!

Breeze to set up; runs like a charm. Tripp Lite rules.
This UPS Backup is at the heart of my recording studio. It is the power interface for my main studio PC, backup drives, and all the peripherals. It was a breeze to set up. This was a replacement for my second failed unit from a mass market UPS Backup company. As I'm already using a TRIPP LITE conditioner as part of my touring bassist rig, and another to monitor power for my audio interfaces and monitor systems, I am a TRIPP LITE customer for life.

Worth every bit of the cost!
This is my third Trip-Lite I have purchased over the past 20 years. They have all worked well past their estimated life. The important thing is to read their instructions and call or text Trip-Lite; they will respond within 48 hours.

I have it only about a month and my only concern about this product is the LED screen. It glows to much, so i need to put something over it during the night to cover its blue light. I wonder how much energy this LED screen consumes?

Recommend - Well built and reliable UPS
Received this item on time and in excellent condition. I use this UPS to provide primary protection and support in the event of power line related issues, especially to filter out any surges or spikes in the electrical system. This is the third one of these that I have had, and use for pc and related device protection.
Even though it comes with input and output ports for protecting a cable modem, I do not need or use those, as my service provider uses fiber optic cable. But I do use the telephone ports to protect the phone line. This item is well built, robust and flexible, in that you can rotate the blue display to either use the item standing up, or lying down. There are enough outlets on the rear of the device to plug additional items to protect should it be necessary.

Excellent solution for backup of home electronics backup!
The SmartPro has power conditioning, surge protection as well as backup. Blackouts happen often these days. It eliminates the frustration of having to reset and reconfigure everything after a blackout. Especially true with a cable box or DVR. It has a nice big display, which the brightness can be set, telling one the power status and charge on the battery.

I have my computer, Drobo and tv hooked up with battery power in case of power outages. Really haven't tried pulling the plug to see if it truly works, but it has a test function that said it's ok. My screen when assembled, was glued on a little crooked. That's why I gave it just 4 stars.

I am pleased with the size to power ratio it is very compact
I have a Panasonic 50" plasma tv with a power issue, when it has a slight power fluctuation or surge or power outage, a capacitor bank overloads and the set won't restart for a duration of 2 to 3 days until the capacitors leak down. I purchased the 1000VA 500 watt UPS to prevent this from happening.

Perfect home office solution!

I run the UPS only for routers and internet antenna. After three months, there was a blackout and internet went down. I verified everything and the UPS smelled burned from the inside. I opened a claim through Tripplite web site but nobody has contacted me.

It's great to be protected than burned out
The smart pro LCD 120 volts is used at my household for personnel use and protects my CPU, Printer and other accessories that are endangered to power surges also it's gives us that extra time to store and shut down properly our machine. Power outages are regular at my area so the smart pro is a great buy for the price and the features are great, LCD screen, protected outlets, DSL, coax, tel., USB, can't ask for more, product is highly recommended.

House got hit by lightning - kaboooommm. I had my high end electronics (TV, TiVo, Router, B/U drive) all connected to Tripp-Lite UPS. I lost a lot of other stuff, but nothing connected. Even though the bolt hit my cable box the UPS stopped it from damaging equipment connected to it. I'm sold!

Protects $5000 Worth of AV Equipment
Do you think I'm going to trust a $20 surge protector to protect $5000 worth of brand-new AV equipment my new house. No way! So I bought the best. We get power outages often, here in the Pacific Northwest, and I rely on a back up generator, which by its nature, can put out a very harmful electrical signal, especially with sensitive electronic equipment. The uninterruptible power supply and the quality components on my Trip:Lite provides me great protection at a reasonable price.

This is the third of this model I have purchased. This one for some reason only gives 15 minutes run time with less load than the older ones that give about 40 minutes. So it does work, but is apparently lesser quality than the older units.

Great product for the price. Had a lightning storm where we lost power at the house but we were able to safely shut down our DLP television (yes, we know it's old but it works). The bulb and fan assembly is expensive and this product saved us.

Love the price, love the look of this product, may need to add a couple of usb port to any future designs. Other than that this backup system compliments may entertainment room.

You want Protection; buy Tripp-Lite!!!
I use it to connect and protect, (of course) my 70" led tv. It is perfect, the lcd display with a dim adjust is an cool feature. The cable connection and the tel line connection included in this model, an excellent feature to protect it also. The 8 outlets for 8 devices, perfect. I use it in battery mode, when energy fail, to keep on my modem and a laptop working. The "voltage regulator" is, for me, the most important feature in a battery backup. The 60min and 180min running time on battery, depend of what devices you connect, very reasonable. I don't keep my tv on battery, only small devices if is necessary.

This UPS provides the necessary power to my Internet Modem, Security Camera and Backup Harddrive. When there is either a power-surge or power failure this UPS device kicks in seamlessly. The beeps indicate exactly that it has been triggered and operating on its internal battery power.
I would recommend this to anyone.

This unit has protected my computer from endless electrical bumps & surges. When we loose power I immediately plug in my phone to charge it since we never know how long our power will be off. Your project isn't interrupted or lost due to a power failure. My computer & I are very happy! IT's a GREAT UNIT!

SmartPro is the solution for domestic very irregular voltage
I live in Mexico City, MX, the variations on the voltage are a trouble in domestic situations. The enterprise enviroments with a own transformator or sub energy plant dont have this problems.
In Domestic enviroments, tripp lite is te best choice. Time of life of SmartPro is near of 4 year of continous work (include the battery life). When another brands the mean time of life is about 1 year.
The Digital voltimeter Display, show the actual voltage and give us a precision of 1 seg. Its important when a energy fault ocurrs. We can monitoring the energy network activity with this. Plus the display show the status of the appliance with simplicity manner.
I can recommend a tripplite SmartPro for a domestic with a high requeriments or a solution for small office.In fact I only recommend tripplite for energy networks unestables.

I would buy this again and again
I bought this ups for my cctv system, and my modem, cable box, and TV. Now never have to worry about waiting for everything to reboot when the power goes out or surges and will always have the wifi connected. The best ups I've owned and the digital readout is nice and has a dimmer switch so it's not to bright in my entertainment system enclosure

Bought two for security camera DVR and broadband router
Bought two to combat our more-frequent brownouts and power outages in the Phoenix desert. It was frustrating to constantly lose internet and my security camera DVR during quick brownouts or power outages during the desert summer. One is hooked up to my security camera system/DVR and a HDTV and the other is hooked up to my smart device hubs and broadband router/modem. Both kick on quick and provide ample backup power. Now I don't lose internet or my cameras. I like the display readout. I stand both up in their vertical setup.

We have several, they are used for backup of critical components, alarm system, and some basic LED lighting -- performed perfectly during 3 electrical outages, one caused by work crew that broke lines, 2 others caused by storms.

I'm going to buy a regulator with this brand
I bought two UPS to support the power supply of my flat screens, an XBox console and a DVR along with 4 cameras; it was very easy to calculate the VAs that I needed to back up (each manufacturer provides that information) thanks to the TrippLite tips when selecting a product. The installation was very simple and that is why I recommend this brand.

This is my fifth tripp-lite unit
This is a stellar unit. It replaced a nine year old ups that also gave me great service. I only use Tripp-Lite for my back up requirements which include desktop computers and audio visual eqiupment.
